2026 is a milestone year for South Carolina homeowners. Between local Orangeburg DPU incentives and the new Federal Inflation Reduction Act programs, there has never been a better time to upgrade your home.
Local Orangeburg DPU Rebates
Orangeburg DPU offers direct rebates for customers transitioning to or upgrading natural gas appliances.
These are available right now:
Natural Gas Furnaces: Up to $250 rebate.
Tankless Water Heaters: $250 rebate.
Gas Clothes Dryers: $225 rebate.
Gas Ranges/Cooktops: $150 rebate.
Coming in 2026: State-Wide Incentives
Keep an eye on the South Carolina Home Energy Rebates (HOMES & HEAR) launching this year. Depending on your household income, you could qualify for:
Up to $14,000 for high-efficiency electric heat pumps and wiring upgrades.
Up to $8,000 for whole-home energy retrofits like insulation and air sealing.
