We are here around the clock to
service your utility needs.
For services that do not require a city or county inspection and are scheduled for connection during normal working hours the same day as requested, the application must be received prior to 2:00 p.m.
If a service application is received after 2:00 p.m., service will be provided during normal working hours of the next workday.
Services applied for may be connected in one trip, the connection will be made at no charge.
When more than one trip is required to connect all services at a location, the fee will be $30.00 per additional trip and will be added to your bill.
Your service will normally be connected during our working hours. Please see that all faucets are closed. An open faucet will cause an additional trip. When connecting natural gas, our service person will light the pilot on natural gas appliances. Therefore a responsible person must be at the premise to meet our service person. Gas appointments are available.
If your application is made between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. and you request your service to be worked the same day, an additional fee of $30.00 will be added to your bill.
Applications for service made after business hours will incur an additional $100.00 connection fee to be paid by the following morning after connection. Service applications must be completed the following business day by 10 a.m. to ensure continuous service.
Partial Services Connected At The Customer's Request
Our customers are not required to apply for all services available at a location. At the customer's request, services applied for will be connected. Any remaining services not connected may require additional deposits and customer identification at the time of application.The connection of remaining services will be charged a $30.00 fee per additional trip which will be added to the bill. If the connection is required for other than normal working hours, a charge of $100.00 will be added to the bill.
Gas Service
You or your representative must be present when we connect the gas service and light the pilots.
To discontinue gas during off season period: $30.00
To reconnect gas which had to be discontinued: $30.00
To connect gas service for customer who had chosen to postpone gas service when securing other services: $30.00
To lock a gas meter found turned off by the customer: $30.00
(We are required by safety regulations to lock gas meters in the "off" position when a service is found valved off.)

Outdoor Security lighting is an effective method against intrusions or other criminal activity against home or office properties. Commercial and residential customers can enhance safety around their properties by having DPU install security lighting. DPU offers a variety of security lighting as well as decorative lighting.
